i2i Infinity – Somerset Business Awards Finalist – Technology and Innovation
We are delighted that hgkc client i2i Infinity have been named as one of the finalists at this year’s Somerset Business Awards, in the technology and innovation category.
The Somerset Business Awards evening is one of the most important dates in the county’s business calendar and is always well attended by many influential business people from within the vibrant business community. Greg Saunders, Partner at Clarke Willmott and Chair of Somerset Chamber of Commerce said, “The number of entries and the fact that they came from all over the county was really pleasing to see this year. As ever, the initial deliberations and visits to the shortlisted businesses and charities is an arduous task but one that really adds colour to the judging process and ensures that from our perspective as judges, we really can be sure that each winner represents the best in business for 2018.”
Announced in the Technology and Innovation category, i2i Infinity’s Managing Director, said: “To be recognised for our work in International Trade demonstrating how technology can be used to reduce friction within supply chains is really rewarding and testament to the whole team for all the effort they put in.”
Ian James, Implementation Manager, agreed: “It’s fantastic news for the whole team at i2i Infinity to be acknowledged for our technology and innovation, which we employ across our services to Chambers of Commerce, exporters, importers and via our CSR CarniApp project.”
Founded in 1986, i2i pride themselves on being at the cutting edge of technology in International Trade solutions. They pioneered the use of bar codes for Certificates of Origin (CoO), and recently became the first company to produce a CoO from a block chain, partnering with Business West and Renishaw to demonstrate a working prototype.
hgkc began working with i2i Infinity in August 2017, helping them develop a new strategy and plans to take them through Brexit and beyond. We are now engaged at Board level supporting Adam with key strategic decisions as he leads i2i through the complex and sometimes uncertain world of international trade.
